Status page plan limits

View as Markdown

Status pages are available on every plan. What scales with your plan is how many pages you can have, how many components each page shows, how many confirmed subscribers a page can have, and a few identity settings.

Status page limits follow one number: how many monitors your plan includes. That puts your account in one of five bands. Because the band comes from the monitor allowance rather than the plan’s name, a renamed or custom plan still lands in the right band. Your current plan and its monitor allowance are on the plan comparison at /en/payment/packages and in GET /account (limits, usage.monitor.allowed).

Band Plan includes Status pages Components per page Confirmed subscribers per page SLA target, Google Analytics ID, no-index
Free 1-2 monitors 1 1 10 no
Personal 3-5 monitors 1 5 50 no
Webmaster 6-19 monitors 2 as many as your monitors 200 yes
Business 20-99 monitors 5 as many as your monitors (up to 99) 500 yes
Enterprise 100 or more, or unlimited 10 as many as your monitors, up to 150 2,000 yes

Components per page are your plan’s monitor count, never fewer than 5 and never more than 150 - except in the Free band, which shows one component. The 30-day trial (100 monitors) is in the Enterprise band.

The “Powered by HostTracker” credit is shown on every plan and cannot be removed. Custom domains are not available yet; when they launch they are planned for the Enterprise band only, not the trial.

  • Pages - creating a page beyond the limit is refused: 403 package_limit with feature: "statusPages" (in the app: “Your plan allows N status page(s). Upgrade to create more.”).
  • Components - adding components beyond the limit is refused: 403 package_limit with feature: "statusPages.components" (“Your plan allows N component(s) per status page.”).
  • Subscribers - new email confirmations and new push channels beyond the limit are refused: feature: "statusPages.subscribers". Only confirmed subscribers count.
  • SLA target, Google Analytics ID, no-index - you can save them on any plan, but the public page uses them only from the Webmaster band up. Below it, the page shows no SLA figures and no GA tag, and stays indexable.

The used and allowed members of the package_limit error say where you are.

HostTracker never deletes or darkens a live status page because of a plan change:

  • Pages over the new limit keep working. You just cannot create another until you are under the limit.
  • Components over the new limit stay in the editor, marked Not on your plan. The public page shows the first ones in your order, up to the limit - reorder the list to choose which ones stay visible.
  • Existing subscribers keep receiving updates. Only new subscriptions are blocked while you are over.
  • Plan-gated settings stay saved and apply again as soon as you upgrade.
