# Payment methods, invoices and receipts

## Payment methods

HostTracker processes payments through a **hosted checkout** - clicking to pay opens a secure payment page
(a new tab, for the card/wallet methods) rather than entering card details directly into HostTracker. Which
methods you see depends on your browser and region; the checkout offers:

| Method | Notes |
|---|---|
| Credit or debit card | Visa, Mastercard, American Express |
| PayPal | Pay with a PayPal account |
| Google Pay | Shown when your browser/device supports it |
| Apple Pay | Shown when your browser/device supports it |
| Wire transfer / purchase order (SWIFT) | For invoiced/bank-transfer payment |
| Ukraine cashless invoice | A UAH invoice for Ukrainian business customers, with a downloadable receipt |
| Crypto currency (Bitcoin / ETH) | A redirect to a crypto payment processor; credited to your account manually, typically within 24 hours |

Your card, PayPal or wallet details are handled by the payment provider, not stored by HostTracker.

## Make a payment

1. Open **Billing -> Packages** (to buy or renew a plan) or **Billing -> Balances** (to top up
   [SMS credit](/account/sms-balance/)).
2. Choose what you're paying for and pick a payment method.
3. Complete payment on the hosted checkout page (or, for a bank transfer/cashless invoice, follow the invoice
   instructions shown).

Your plan or balance updates automatically once payment confirms - except crypto payments, which are matched
and credited by HostTracker's team after the blockchain transaction is seen, usually within a day.

## Invoices, receipts and order history

Open **Billing -> Orders** for your order history, and **Billing -> Payments** for individual payment records.
Each completed order has a printable receipt you can download for your records; a Ukraine cashless invoice has
its own downloadable receipt from the same place.

## Limits and gotchas

- Payments are an **app-only** feature - there is no public REST API or MCP endpoint to make a payment, and
the MCP server is deliberately read-only on billing.
- Crypto and cashless-invoice payments are not instant - allow up to a day for them to be matched and applied.
- If you activate a plan immediately and choose to pay within 14 days (see [The free trial](/account/trial/)
and [Upgrade or downgrade](/account/upgrade-downgrade/)), any of the methods above completes that payment.
